Travel information
By train
If you travel by long-distance trains of the Deutsche Bahn, the station "Karlsruhe Hbf" or "Karlsruhe-Durlach" is the best choice. The onward journey with the tram network of the KVV to the stop "Karlsruhe, Kronenplatz (Kaiserstr.)" can be planned under https://www.kvv.de. From there it is a 400m walk to IRS building 11.20 or 650m walk to IRS building 30.33.
With your own car
- Parking on campus (only with authorization):
After prior consultation with us, you can pick up an entry permit at the main entrance near the library at the registration desk on the ground floor. Hold it in front of the cameras at the entrance gates and the gate will be opened for you. Now you can drive up to building 11.20 or building 30.33 and park in the area. There is also a textual description of how to get to the main entrance. - Off-Campus Parking:
- Public car park "Waldparkplatz"(walking distance to IRS building 11.20: 950m, walking distance to IRS building 30.33: 700m)
- Underground car park Waldhornstraße (subject to charges, walking distance to IRS building 11.20: 300m, walking distance to IRS building 30.33: 550m)
- Underground car park Kaiserstraße (KIT) (subject to charges, walking distance to IRS building 11.20: 350m, walking distance to IRS building 30.33: 600m)
By taxi
Have your driver take you to Englerstraße 12 in 76131 Karlsruhe, from there it is a 100m walk to IRS building 11.20 or 400m walk to IRS building 30.33.
